Jery began dancing at the age of 9. Her parents were folk, square and round dancers and Jery quickly picked up the steps and joined in the adult dances. Before she became a teen she joined a Southern California based teenage square/ round dance exhibition group. The Swinging Sweethearts performed throughout California and many other states across the Unites States and Canada. She provided more some of the choreography for routines performed by the group and taught dancing to many throughout those years. She has continued dancing through her adult life. She has held licenses for teaching round dancing and square dancing. She is currently licensed to teach line dancing also. She loves any kind of dancing and she is attracted to the fact that you do not need a partner for line dancing and everyone can participate. Line Dancing is not just country anymore. Jery mixes it up with a bit of swing, tango, cha cha and plain fun! |
