What should I wear?

Ballroom, swing, or salsa lessons wear clean comfortable clothing that will allow you to move. No tight fitting clothing.  

Leather or suede bottom shoes. No flip flops, tennis shoes or sling back shoes. Dance shoes with suede bottoms are the best. Order dance shoes on line at DanceShoesNow.com

Do I need a partner?
No. Our group classes Monday - Thursday are open classes so we rotate partners.

Will my lessons interfere with my busy scedule? 

We are extremely aware that life tends to be busy for most people. We will be able to accommodate any schedule. Studio is open 7 days a week. Please check calendar for group classes, dance parties and special events

How do I know what level lessons I should register in?

If you have had 6 to 12 weeks or at least 10 private ballroom dance lessons you are most likely level II or intermediate. If you are still not sure e mail us your experience at pmhouseofdance@gmail.com or call us at 805-650-2719.


What time should I arrive for my lessons?
The first night of your lessons you should arrive about 15 minutes early to get registered after that 10 minutes before class to check in and get your dance shoes on.


What's the benefit of taking dance lessons?
Dancing is the first line of social activity. Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence, improved personality and new friends. It is also a superb physical conditioner, proving fund without extreme effort. Learning to dance will open up a wonderful new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round social calendar.
